Kittens and Puppies and Tug Toys, Oh My!

Ahhh, summer, where did you go?  Can you believe it’s October already? Yikes!

If you’ve been following us on facebook, you know that Three Sassy Sisters has grown this summer. 🙂  If not, let me explain:
At the beginning of June we found a few kittens in our garage.  They were tiny and sick, and we couldn’t resist keeping one of them.  Milly went to live with Becky and her daughter when they closed on their first house.  She’s pretty sassy herself and has made a wonderful place for herself in their family.  She’s a character, that’s for sure.  She just got spayed and microchipped.

Shortly after that, Mr. Smith, a medium sized goldendoodle came to live with them.  He’s super smart, super energetic, and super cute!

Which brings us to a new product!

Our Recycled T-Shirt Tugs were listed a month or so ago and have gotten awesome reviews thus far.  They’re chewable, durable, washable, and colorful!   Made only from old, recycled, cotton t-shirts, they’re eco-friendly and dog safe!

Starting tomorrow, we’ll be offering another version of the tug toys.  Our Recycled Tennis Ball T-Shirt Tug Toys are made from recycled tennis balls and t-shirts.  Most indoor tennis balls are only used for one match or one practice session and then thrown away.  Rather than allow them to go to waste, we’ve taken these tennis balls, washed and dried them, and turned them into an awesome toy for your dog to enjoy!

Bonjour! Merry Christmas! Happy Hanukkah! Happy New Year! Happy Birthday!  And all the jazz…

Between Christmas, work, school, families, and a plethora of colds, we’re finally back and kicking.  Or something. 😉  I hope you all had a wonderful holiday and that you got plenty of rest and family time.

I made a white light box over the weekend because I was tired of the lighting being different in each of my collar pictures.  They never quite turned out right.  Alas, even after I made my box, my pictures still came out with a weird pink-ish hue…  Until I found… the solution…

And so, I’m going to give you a quick tutorial today of the best Etsy app ever…  FotoFuze!   Perfect for your Etsy listing that doesn’t quite have the best lighting, background, etc.  You know.  It works best when your object is set against a flat, black or white background.

Click to the website (fotofuze.com) and sign up.

Then, upload a picture:

Next, you’ll start to highlight your object plus its shadow:

Once it’s all highlighted, click finish.  There’s no need to be particularly neat here.  Thank goodness for that, because I’m not a color-in-the-lines kind of gal… 😉 :

Finally, wait a minute or two for it to completely generate your image.  While this is going on, you can upload another picture and fotofuze away! 🙂

Love it!  It will probably take a while for me to totally change out all of my cat collar pictures in our store, but it will get there eventually and it will be gorgeous!
